Get to know us

The NBM (NanoBioMechanics) research Lab was established in 2008 at the Pukyong National University, Busan, South Korea. Our research interest is the development of novel nanomaterials for cancer treatment and bio-imaging contrast agents, ultrasonic imaging modality (Scanning Acoustic Microscopy), hybrid imaging modality (Photoacoustic  Microscopy), and software.

Launched Company

OHLABS

Professor Junghwan Oh, the supervisor of NBMLAB, founded OHLABS through faculty entrepreneurship. OHLABS develops non-destructive inspection equipment and related devices based on ultrasound technology and has entered the global ultrasound non-destructive inspection equipment market.

The main product, Fast Scanning Ultrasound Non-Destructive Testing Equipment (FSAM), consists of a high-frequency ultrasonic transducer, multi-channel ultrasonic pulser/receiver, high-speed scanning module, and software.

The core module of FSAM has achieved domestic production from South Korea, and it can be customized according to the user's needs. This device can be utilized for convenient inspection in industrial fields such as wafers and power semiconductors, automobile, display, composite materials, aerospace, and so on.
